Our servers collect statistical information and report it roughly every minute to this page. The list only contains servers that have been available at least once in the last two weeks.
"Load" is a statistical value calculated from many factors, including the number of logged in users, the amount of traffic they create, the number of streams they have opened, the quality of their Internet connectivity, and the saturation of the server's uplink. A high load (above 70,000) and a yellow light indicates that a server is so much loaded that it is not recommended to use it for new connection unless you don't have a choice. You are still welcome to use the server but expect the service to be somewhat degraded (unless the load is above 100,000 you probably won't notice). "Red" servers are currently unavailable or can only offer a severely degraded service. Loads above 1 billion signal that the server is usable but has detected problems around it, in most cases high packet loss will cause this state. The indicator will be "yellow" in this case, meaning that you may use the server but should expect to have connectivity problems.
"Uptime" indicates how long the server has been running without service disruption. While we try to maximize this as much as possible, we sometimes need to restart servers to activate new software versions. And, believe it or not, it does happen that they fail because of hardware problems or problems with the Java engine. There might even be a bug or two in our software. :-)
